ASSISTANT MANAGER (RETAIL/SUPERMARKET) @ HSD-MELT
The Assistant Manager for our Dar es Salaam location will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the profitability of the retail outlet. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing schedules, and ensuring that the store meets its operational goals. This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Beyond administrative tasks, you will be deeply involved in inventory management, sales floor organization, and staff development. Your goal is to foster a productive work environment that encourages sales growth and customer loyalty. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in retail
Strong leadership and team management skills
Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain processes
Proficient in MS Office and retail software
Ability to handle customer complaints and conflict resolution
Understanding of financial reporting and budgeting
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Strong commitment to health and safety regulations
Ability to train and mentor junior staff
