ASSISTANT MANAGER – RETAIL OPERATIONS @ HSD-MELT
HSD, on behalf of their client in the luxury retail industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager for Retail Operations based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, ensuring that all retail operations run smoothly and comply with high merchandising standards. You will play a pivotal role in leading and motivating frontline sales teams to achieve targets while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
The role involves monitoring stock levels, coordinating replenishment, and ensuring accurate stock control across the store. You will also handle daily cash operations, manage staff shifts, and report any operational challenges or suspicious activities to senior management. This position requires a professional who is disciplined, proactive, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations and/or team supervision
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good understanding of stock control and retail processes
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Results-driven, proactive, and disciplined
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling
Ability to manage staff shifts, attendance, and task allocation effectively
Proficiency in inventory management software and reporting tools
Excellent customer service skills to resolve disputes and enhance brand loyalty
