A leading Manufacturing Company in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Supervisor to lead their mechanical maintenance team. This pivotal role involves the direct supervision and guidance of maintenance personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal machine performance. Key responsibilities include the precise allocation of daily maintenance tasks to team members, optimizing resource utilization and responsiveness to operational needs. The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for diligently monitoring maintenance performance metrics and overall machine reliability, implementing strategies to enhance uptime and reduce breakdowns. This position also requires strict adherence to and enforcement of all safety procedures, fostering a secure working environment. Furthermore, the role involves preparing comprehensive maintenance reports for management and effectively coordinating with production teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and objectives.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing industry.
Preferably experience in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Ability to supervise a mechanical maintenance team.
Experience in allocating daily maintenance tasks.
Proficiency in monitoring maintenance performance and machine reliability.
Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
