Hotel Verde Zanzibar Azam Luxury Resort & Spa is seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our hospitality team in Zanzibar. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and luxury experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate will possess a welcoming personality and a commitment to providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced resort environment.
Key responsibilities for this role include greeting and assisting guests, handling incoming telephone calls and email correspondence, and managing guest bookings and schedules with precision. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining office organization and ensuring that the front desk area reflects the high standards of our resort. Applicants must have a minimum of two years of hospitality experience within Zanzibar to ensure a deep understanding of the local industry and guest expectations.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry specifically in Zanzibar.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure.
Professional, welcoming, and hospitable personality.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
Experience with hotel reservation systems or property management software.
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is a plus.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
