GIG Consult is recruiting a professional Loan Officer for a reputable Microfinance Institution based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the client base and ensuring the financial health of the institution through diligent loan origination and portfolio management.
Key duties include identifying new clients, performing on-site business appraisals, and conducting thorough credit interviews. You will be responsible for evaluating loan applications, managing the documentation process to ensure strict compliance, and actively monitoring loan utilization to ensure high-quality portfolio performance and recovery.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a Bank, Microfinance Institution, or SACCOS.
Proven expertise in loan origination and field appraisal processes.
Strong ability to perform detailed business assessments and credit risk analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client recruitment.
Ability to meet strict monthly disbursement and collection targets.
Proficiency in documentation compliance and reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
