MAINTENANCE OFFICER @ FARM OF DREAMS LODGE
The Maintenance Officer will oversee all maintenance operations throughout the lodge, ensuring facilities, equipment, and utilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role involves conducting daily inspections to ensure lodge facilities meet safety standards, supervising all maintenance activities, and identifying opportunities to reduce maintenance costs. The officer will report maintenance issues to the Operations Manager, coordinate routine maintenance for guest rooms, kitchens, offices, and other facilities, and ensure generators, laundry machines, water pumps, and other equipment remain in good working condition. Responsibilities also include responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, monitoring maintenance tools and spare parts inventory, maintaining swimming pools, keeping accurate maintenance records and logs, preparing and submitting daily maintenance reports, and performing other duties assigned by management.
Key Requirements
Certificate or Diploma in Maintenance from VETA or another recognized institution
Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience
Previous experience in the hospitality or lodge industry is preferred
Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of electrical systems (including 3-phase electrical systems) and plumbing
Strong knowledge of machinery and maintenance equipment
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Applicants must be between 25 and 40 years of age
Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously
