FRONT OFFICE RECEPTIONIST / CASHIER @ CRADLE GROUP
The Cradle Group is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Office Receptionist / Cashier for its hotel property located in the Askari Monument Area of Dar es Salaam. This pivotal role is the first point of contact for guests, requiring a candidate who can provide a warm, professional welcome while efficiently managing the check-in and check-out processes. The role involves managing bookings from various sources including walk-ins, online travel agencies, phone calls, and emails, ensuring that all guest inquiries and complaints are handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
In addition to guest relations, the position carries significant financial and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments through multiple channels such as cash, credit cards, and mobile money, while maintaining and reconciling daily cash floats. Ensuring revenue protection through accurate billing and collaborating closely with housekeeping and other departments is essential for smooth hotel operations. Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a hotel front office or cashiering role.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and professional cash handling.
Proven experience with hotel management systems and reservation software.
Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and Swahili.
High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and a consistently positive attitude.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to manage guest requests.
Ability to coordinate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance departments.
