PROJECT MANAGER, EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT (ECD) @ CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES (CRS)
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager for its Early Childhood Development (ECD) programming in Mbeya, Tanzania. This role is pivotal in managing, coordinating, and monitoring project activities while fostering strong relationships with diverse partners and stakeholders. The successful candidate will ensure that ECD project objectives are met with high-quality programming and effective management practices.
The Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle, from start-up to implementation and close-out, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and CRS quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising project staff, managing budgets, and coordinating evaluation activities. The candidate will represent CRS on ECD-related matters and contribute to capacity-strengthening initiatives to enhance local partner efficacy. The role requires a proactive professional committed to driving impactful, sustainable outcomes in early childhood development.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
5–8 years of professional project management experience in an NGO setting.
Proven expertise in the Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector.
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision and performance management.
Strong proficiency in financial budget management and reporting.
Experience in data analysis and monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL).
Fluent in English and Kiswahili, both written and verbal.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and communication skills.
