The Branch Accounts & Operations Officer, based in Dar es Salaam under Requisition ID 1665, is a dual-focused role that supports both financial and operational activities within the branch. Key responsibilities include cash management, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of accurate financial reports and documentation. The officer will also be heavily involved in procurement activities, ensuring that administrative needs are met efficiently to support ongoing community programmes and organizational goals. In addition to technical finance tasks, the role involves coordinating operations and engaging with various stakeholders to facilitate smooth programme implementation. This position provides critical administrative support to ensure that field-based activities are conducted effectively and in compliance with organizational policies. The candidate will work closely with the Finance & Accounts department to maintain financial health at the branch level. The salary for this position is negotiable.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounts, Commerce, or Business Administration.
At least 2 years’ experience in development programmes.
Strong coordination, reporting, and Microsoft Office skills.
Experience in managing cash transactions and monthly reconciliations.
Ability to handle procurement activities and administrative logistics.
Demonstrated capacity to support community-based program implementation.
Knowledge of administrative and organizational safety protocols.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Competence in preparing accurate financial documentation for audit purposes.
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills with diverse stakeholders.
