HEAD OF OPERATIONS @ BRAC INTERNATIONAL
BRAC Tanzania Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead its field operations and drive sustainable business growth while maintaining portfolio quality, operational excellence, governance, and social impact. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Operations will oversee the field management structure, borrower acquisition, product expansion, portfolio performance, operational controls, and branch network performance. The role requires a strategic leader capable of managing large-scale operations in a microfinance or retail banking environment while upholding BRAC's commitment to social impact and financial inclusion.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for scaling operations and driving growth across the country. You will work closely with executive leadership to ensure that operational processes are efficient, compliant with regulatory standards, and aligned with the organization's broader objectives. This position demands a leader with a strong background in financial inclusion, risk management, and team development, as well as the flexibility to travel to various locations to support branch operations and monitor performance metrics.

Key Requirements
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Banking, or Management.
At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in microfinance or retail banking.
At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale field operations.
Proven track record of scaling operations and delivering business growth.
Sound knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing microfinance.
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong leadership skills in change management and team development.
Ability to analyze performance metrics and operational dashboards.
High ethical and moral standards.
Willingness to travel to various field locations.
