We are looking for an HR Officer-Employee Relations to join a prominent industrial group's new factory operations in Shinyanga, Tanzania. This role focuses on maintaining robust internal and external correspondence, overseeing employee welfare, and ensuring full statutory compliance with entities such as NSSF, TRA, and WCF. As the bridge between factory management, workers, and external authorities, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and managing industrial relations effectively. Key duties involve registering employees for statutory benefits, filing monthly returns, and facilitating joint management-worker meetings to resolve grievances. Additionally, you will coordinate staff well-being initiatives and document workplace accidents according to regulatory requirements. Your expertise in community liaison will be vital for maintaining strong ties with local government authorities in the Shinyanga Region, ensuring the factory operates smoothly within the local regulatory framework.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in HRM, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources. At least 3 years of direct experience managing employee and industrial relations. Proven expertise in drafting official letters and reports in English and Swahili. Strong experience with statutory filings including NSSF, TRA, and WCF. In-depth understanding of handling employee grievances and welfare committees. Ability to document workplace accidents and manage return-to-work procedures. Willingness and ability to travel frequently for external regulatory and government meetings. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for mediation between workers and management. High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling employee records and disputes.
