AutoXpress Tanzania Limited is seeking a competent and self-motivated Retail Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This is a training position designed to lead into a Retail Customer Service Executive role. The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming retail customers, responding to inquiries, and orienting them to our wide range of automotive products and services. You will act as the primary point of contact, ensuring that every customer receives exceptional service while you maximize company profitability through effective sales and recommendation strategies.
The role involves technical product demonstrations, cross-selling related accessories, and coordinating with the workshop and stores departments to ensure timely service delivery. You will also manage documentation, collect payments, and conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will perform vehicle inspections using checklists and provide feedback to management regarding customer needs. While the primary location is Dar es Salaam, AutoXpress operates in multiple regions including Arusha and Mwanza, and candidates should be prepared for a dynamic retail environment.

Key Requirements
University degree in sales and marketing, commerce, or business administration.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or marketing roles.
High level of computer literacy and proficiency in office software.
Ability to learn and explain technical details and features of automotive products.
Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with customers effectively.
Proven ability in persuading and influencing customer purchasing decisions.
Capacity to follow complex instructions and company procedures accurately.
Knowledge of the automotive retail environment, tyre industry, or spare parts is advantageous.
A personable approach to building long-term relationships with customers and colleagues.
Interest in automobile mechanics and willingness to perform vehicle inspections.
