TOUR GUIDING INSTRUCTOR @ AUDREY VELDMAN VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
Audrey Veldman Vocational Training Centre, a VETA-registered institution located in Arusha Region, Karatu District, Mbulumbulu ward, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Tour Guiding Instructor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of tourism professionals in Tanzania. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality vocational training according to national standards.
The primary responsibilities of the Tour Guiding Instructor include developing and delivering engaging lessons for the Tour Guiding course, meticulously following the VETA curriculum. This involves preparing detailed session plans, organizing and supervising practical training exercises, and conducting comprehensive examinations and student assessments. Furthermore, the instructor will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress, providing essential academic guidance, and ensuring the proper upkeep and utilization of all teaching materials. The role also requires flexibility to undertake other duties as assigned by the college management and to work both on-campus and in external environments during practical training sessions.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Tour Guiding, Tourism Management, or Tourism and Hospitality Management.
Technical or Teaching Methodology certificate.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Swahili languages.
Possess good ethics and be trustworthy.
Be creative and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work both within and outside the college environment during practical training sessions.
Proven experience in the tourism industry or vocational training delivery.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
