AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead HR functions within its mining operations in Geita, Tanzania. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to support operational excellence. This includes overseeing talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, HR systems, and organizational development initiatives. The Director will also act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding on all HR-related matters and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sector
Strong understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and HR best practices
Expertise in developing and implementing HR strategies and policies
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing HR teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in HR information systems and data analytics
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Ability to manage complex employee relations issues effectively
Experience in change management and organizational development
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred
