OPERATIONS DIRECTOR – FLEET MANAGEMENT @ AFRICRUIT
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Director to oversee and optimize our comprehensive fleet operations. This role is pivotal in driving end-to-end operational excellence, ensuring that our logistics and transportation frameworks are robust, efficient, and scalable. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, managing complex supply chain requirements, and implementing strategic initiatives that align with our global growth objectives. The successful candidate will foster a culture of performance and continuous improvement while navigating the unique operational landscape of the region. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain strict compliance with local and international transportation regulations, manage fleet health, and oversee warehouse operations to ensure seamless product flow. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high service delivery standards.
Key Requirements
Proven experience as an Operations Director or senior management role in fleet logistics.
Strong understanding of transportation management systems and fleet maintenance strategies.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex warehouse operations and inventory flow.
Exceptional leadership skills with a history of managing diverse, multi-disciplinary teams.
Expertise in operational excellence frameworks and continuous improvement methodologies.
Comprehensive knowledge of transportation compliance and safety regulations in East Africa.
Strong financial acumen with a focus on cost optimization and budget management.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Ability to make strategic decisions based on data-driven insights and market trends.
Proficiency in project management and resource allocation tools.
