The Africa Fintech Network (AFN) is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development & Partnerships Manager to expand its reach and impact across Africa. This role is focused on identifying new opportunities for growth, securing strategic alliances, and building sustainable partnerships with key players in the fintech ecosystem, including financial institutions, technology providers, and government agencies. You will be at the forefront of AFN's mission to create a unified voice for African fintech.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the African tech landscape and a proven track record in driving business growth through high-level networking and negotiation. In this role, you will develop partnership frameworks that provide value to AFN members and stakeholders while ensuring the organization's long-term financial and operational sustainability. If you are passionate about building Africa-led solutions and have the skills to forge powerful professional connections, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact. You will work closely with diverse associations from Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and beyond.

Key Requirements

At least 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management in the tech industry. Extensive professional network within the African banking, fintech, and telecommunications sectors. Demonstrated success in identifying, negotiating, and closing high-value corporate partnerships. Strong strategic thinking skills to develop long-term commercial and operational growth plans. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Development, or a related field. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue and partnership acquisition targets. Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance and report on partnership ROI. Experience in fundraising or grant management for international non-profit organizations is an asset. Willingness to travel periodically across Africa for regional networking events and partner meetings.
