This role requires a hands-on professional capable of taking full ownership of the branch, covering everything from sales and distribution to depot management. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving both corporate and general trade sales, ensuring that the branch meets its performance targets through efficient stock and people management. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the local market, particularly within the hotel and resort sectors. Beyond operational oversight, the role demands strategic thinking to identify growth opportunities and financial discipline to manage the branch's bottom line. Candidates must be self-starters who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess the maturity to handle complex business challenges without constant supervision. Key Requirements
At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector.
Proven experience in running a branch, depot, or distribution setup effectively.
Strong exposure to both sales and marketing strategies within a competitive environment.
Solid understanding of general trade dynamics and corporate sales processes.
Well-connected within the Hotels and Resort channel in Zanzibar.
At least a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.
Ability to take full ownership of branch operations, including sales and team performance.
Experience in managing stock, distribution, and people efficiently.
Basic financial discipline and the ability to monitor key performance indicators.
A proactive mindset with the ability to hit the ground running and work independently.
