As a Maintenance Technician for a Poultry Farm, you will be responsible for the upkeep of all farm facilities and automated equipment. Your primary goal is to ensure that critical systems, such as temperature control, automated feeding, and watering lines, are functioning perfectly to safeguard the health of the livestock. This involves both scheduled servicing and emergency repairs in a rural or semi-rural farm setting.
You will also handle general infrastructure repairs, including electrical wiring, plumbing, and basic construction work around the farm. Efficiency and responsiveness are key, as equipment failures can have immediate impacts on production. You will maintain a detailed log of all repairs and inventory of spare parts, ensuring that the farm is always prepared for technical challenges.
Key Requirements
Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 2 years of experience in farm or industrial maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair automated feeding and ventilation systems.
Basic skills in plumbing, welding, and carpentry.
Knowledge of electrical safety and power distribution.
