The Dairy Technical Specialist will play a crucial role in providing expert technical guidance and support to dairy farmers. This position focuses on enhancing dairy farm productivity, improving animal health, and optimizing nutrition strategies within both smallholder and commercial dairy systems. The specialist will be responsible for conducting on-farm assessments, developing tailored recommendations, and implementing best practices to ensure sustainable growth and efficiency in dairy operations.Key responsibilities include advising on feed formulations, disease prevention, reproductive management, and overall herd health. The role requires a deep understanding of dairy industry trends and a commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
5-8 years' experience in dairy farm management, ruminant nutrition, technical advisory, or research roles.
Experience working with smallholder and/or commercial dairy systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in dairy operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for farmer engagement.
