CV Africa Editor is seeking a dedicated and proactive Junior Accountant to join their dynamic team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This full-time position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the company's financial operations and build a strong career foundation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and record-keeping.
Key responsibilities for this role include processing payments, payroll, and various financial transactions, managing petty cash and ensuring accurate reconciliation, and maintaining meticulous financial records and filing systems. The Junior Accountant will also be responsible for preparing customer invoices and following up on payments, performing bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting and month-end activities. Ensuring proper filing of EFD receipts and compliance, alongside assisting in budgeting, planning, and other finance-related tasks, are also crucial aspects of this position.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
Graduated within the last 1-2 years
Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience in accounting or finance
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is an added advantage
