TopCrop Tanzania Limited is looking for an experienced and meticulous Payroll Officer to join our team in Rufiji, Tanzania. This full-time role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for both permanent and casual workers, particularly within labor-intensive operations. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the payroll cycle, from data collection and verification to final payment and compliance with local tax and social security regulations (PAYE, NSSF). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Tanzanian labor laws and tax regulations, coupled with proven experience in handling high-volume payrolls under strict deadlines. This role demands a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information. The Payroll Officer will also be expected to utilize advanced Excel skills and payroll systems to streamline processes and ensure efficient operations, contributing significantly to the company's operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years payroll experience handling permanent and casual workers in labor intensive operations
Strong knowledge of PAYE, NSSF, and local labor law compliance
Proven experience processing high volume payroll with tight monthly and weekly deadlines
Advanced Excel skills and hands on experience with payroll systems
High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and payroll data control
