The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driving significant business growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and adeptly managing projects from their conceptualization through to successful completion. This pivotal role is essential for identifying new market opportunities, cultivating a robust business pipeline, and ensuring sustainable growth across the East African region. The position is based in Tanzania, with primary work locations encompassing Dar es Salaam and Msugusugu Town, Kibaha in the Pwani Region.
The Business Specialist will undertake a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including hands-on land sourcing, conducting thorough background checks, expertly negotiating acquisitions, and liaising effectively with competent government authorities. A key aspect of the role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with various government agencies and regulators. Furthermore, the specialist will engage and manage investors, partners, communities, and other key stakeholders to ensure project success. Leadership in project development, from concept to execution, guaranteeing feasibility, securing approvals, and ensuring successful delivery, is also critical. Proficiency in ERP and CRM systems is required to drive efficiency, enhance reporting, and optimize overall performance. The role also demands experience in international procurement processes, including sourcing and supplier management, alongside demonstrated leadership abilities to influence decisions and achieve measurable results. Strong skills in negotiating and structuring contracts that safeguard company interests while creating win-win outcomes are paramount.
