The High Voltage Transmission Line Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering transmission line projects, typically ranging from 66kV to 400kV or higher. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive experience managing transmission line construction projects from the initial design phase through to final commissioning. The successful candidate will lead project execution including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management to ensure all deliverables meet quality and safety standards.
Key duties involve supervising construction activities such as tower erection and stringing, coordinating with diverse stakeholders including clients, consultants, and local authorities, and ensuring full compliance with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ISO certifications. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for procurement management, contractual documentation, cost control, and supporting business development efforts to foster regional market growth.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage transmission line projects.
Registered by the Engineers Registration Board as a Professional Engineer.
Fluency in both written and spoken English and French.
Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and PLS-CADD.
