Hsd-melt is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mining Foreman / Technician to join their operations in Kimbiji, Kigamboni. This full-time position is crucial for overseeing safe and environmentally responsible quarry operations, directly contributing to the company's production targets for limestone supply to cement operations. The role requires a hands-on approach to manage various aspects of mining activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating effectively with mining contractors, overseeing blasting activities, and managing crusher operations to ensure a seamless workflow. This includes the meticulous management of haul roads, drainage systems, and stockpiles, alongside implementing robust mine safety programs to protect personnel and the environment. Furthermore, the Senior Mining Foreman / Technician will maintain comprehensive operational records and ensure strict adherence to all regulatory compliance standards.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Mining Engineering.
10–12 years of experience in large-scale open-pit mechanized mining.
Experience in limestone quarry operations, drilling and blasting, mine planning, fleet management, and crusher operations.
Knowledge of Tanzania Mining Act, mining regulations, safety standards, NEMC compliance, and explosives management.
Skills in survey work, stockpile management, volume calculations, geological understanding, and reporting.
