HR World Limited, on behalf of a leading client in the Agribusiness industry, is recruiting a Statutory Accountant to be based in Iringa. The successful candidate will take charge of supervising the end-to-end accounting process specifically related to tax and statutory compliance. This role involves ensuring that all General Ledger transactions are recorded accurately and on time within the ERP system, maintaining high standards of data integrity across various regions.
The core responsibilities include preparing monthly tax and statutory returns, managing tax audits, and serving as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders like the TRA. You will also be responsible for conducting tax health checks, managing intercompany reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of management accounts. This is a critical role that ensures the company meets all its legal obligations while supporting financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in taxation and statutory compliance.
Proven experience working with ERP systems such as Palladium, SAP, or Navision.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and planning skills with high attention to detail.
