APEX WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join our logistics industry team based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial health by overseeing accurate expense recording, VAT computation, and rigorous adherence to national tax regulations. You will be responsible for the preparation and timely submission of all statutory and government filings, acting as the primary point of contact for external regulatory and tax bodies.
In addition to compliance duties, this role involves managing general ledger integrity and spearheading the financial closing processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, well-versed in industry-standard accounting systems, and capable of fostering strong organizational documentation practices. We are looking for a professional who can provide strategic financial oversight while ensuring full transparency and accuracy in all company financial reporting.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent
Strong experience in VAT processing and statutory reporting
Comprehensive knowledge of local tax regulations and filing requirements
