Zurkt is hiring a Customs Clearance Officer to be based in Dar es Salaam. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through customs by managing TRA and TANCIS procedures effectively. We are looking for individuals with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain operations to minimize delays and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. As a Customs Clearance Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting all necessary documentation to customs authorities and coordinating with various stakeholders, including port authorities and freight forwarders. Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
Familiar with TRA, TANCIS, and customs clearance procedures.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant working experience is an added advantage.
Thorough understanding of import/export regulations and required documentation.
Ability to handle tax assessments and duty payments accurately and timely.
Proficient in computer applications related to logistics and customs processing.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent coordination skills with port authorities and freight forwarders.
In-depth knowledge of HS codes and the classification of imported goods.
