YOUTH NETWORK ESTABLISHMENT INTERN (PPB PROJECT) @ WORLD WIDE FUND FOR NATURE (WWF)
The Youth Network Establishment Intern will play a pivotal role in the People Powering Biodiversity (PPB) Project within the Ruvuma Landscape. This position involves active field travel to empower local youth, communities, and persons with disabilities to take the lead in conservation initiatives. You will be responsible for building robust networks that advocate for biodiversity and integrate youth perspectives into strategic conservation planning. Documentation of project outcomes and engagement metrics will be essential to demonstrate the impact of youth-led conservation efforts aligned with the Global Biodiversity Framework. This role offers an immersive experience in grassroots environmental activism and landscape-level project management.
Key Requirements
Degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in remote field settings
Passion for biodiversity conservation and youth empowerment
Proficiency in data documentation and reporting
Understanding of the Global Biodiversity Framework
Ability to engage with diverse community stakeholders
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent in English and Swahili
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
