WATER TOWER LANDSCAPE INTERN @ WORLD WIDE FUND FOR NATURE (WWF)
The Water Tower Landscape Intern will be stationed in the Iringa office, focusing on the Great Ruaha River Catchment and the Her Resilient Our Planet (HROP) project. The intern will facilitate climate-smart agricultural practices and integrated watershed management. Key tasks include organizing community-led tree planting events, managing nurseries, and fostering environmental awareness through school clubs. Additionally, the intern will support the development of sustainable alternative livelihood programs such as beekeeping and aquaculture, contributing to resilient ecological systems within the SAGCOT region.
Key Requirements
Background in Agriculture, Natural Resources, or Environmental Management
Willingness to travel regularly to field sites
Experience in community engagement or outreach
Interest in sustainable livelihood projects
Strong organizational and planning skills
Ability to lead community-based environmental activities
Basic understanding of hydrology or watershed health
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse school and community groups
Proficiency in basic data entry and reporting
