CBM TECHNICIAN @ WORKFORCE GROUP TANZANIA LTD
The CBM (Condition-Based Monitoring) Technician at Workforce Group Tanzania Ltd is a critical role focused on the continuous monitoring and analysis of industrial equipment health. The primary objective is to ensure machinery reliability and proactively prevent breakdowns through advanced diagnostic techniques. This includes conducting vibration analysis on gearboxes and pumps, performing thermal imaging, and executing precision alignment and balancing tasks. The technician will play a vital part in the maintenance strategy by providing data-driven insights to improve equipment performance. In addition to technical monitoring, the role involves detailed reporting and collaboration with various departments. The technician is responsible for generating weekly and monthly reports that outline equipment conditions and recommending corrective actions to management. By performing oil analysis, thickness measurements, and calibration of sensitive CBM tools, the technician ensures that all assets operate within safe and efficient parameters. This position requires a proactive approach to predictive and preventive maintenance in an industrial setting.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3-5 years of experience with CBM tools like vibration analyzers.
Expertise in using infrared cameras for thermography.
Proficiency in ultrasonic testers and diagnostic tools.
Experience in vibration measurement of fans, gearboxes, and pumps.
Capability to perform alignment and balancing of rotating equipment.
Knowledge of thickness measurement for piping and vessels.
Experience in oil analysis for contamination and wear detection.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex equipment data.
Ability to generate detailed weekly and monthly condition reports.
