PROCUREMENT OFFICER @ WEST SECURITY SERVICES LTD
West Security Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to oversee our purchasing operations and supply chain management. This role is essential for ensuring that the company maintains its high standards of security by providing necessary equipment, uniforms, and services at the most competitive prices and highest quality. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying potential suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts, and maintaining long-term vendor relationships to support our operational efficiency across the region. In this position, you will be responsible for the entire procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, vetting, and inventory management. You will monitor stock levels for critical items like security gear and uniforms, ensuring timely reordering while adhering to both internal policies and Tanzanian regulatory standards. We are looking for a professional with a high degree of integrity and proficiency in data tracking who can work efficiently under pressure to meet the demands of a fast-paced security environment.
Key Requirements
Minimum of a Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong negotiation and networking abilities to secure high-quality goods at competitive rates.
Good understanding of supply chain procedures and purchasing workflows.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and inventory analysis.
High level of integrity and transparency in handling procurement activities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict operational deadlines.
Ability to identify, vet, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
Experience in monitoring stock levels and initiating timely reordering processes.
Knowledge of Tanzanian regulatory standards and compliance in procurement.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail in processing purchase orders.
