Web Corporation Limited is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our workplace safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all employees comply with health and safety regulations, conducting rigorous safety inspections, and investigating any workplace accidents or incidents to prevent future occurrences. You will play a key role in identifying potential hazards and implementing robust safety policies that protect both our staff and company assets.
Beyond compliance, the Safety Officer will foster a strong safety culture within the organization through continuous training and awareness programs. Key duties include monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining detailed records of inspections and training sessions, and coordinating emergency preparedness plans. This position requires someone with a proactive mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to travel outside Dar es Salaam when necessary to oversee safety operations at various sites.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Professional certification in health and safety such as OSHA or an equivalent recognized standard.
At least 2 years of proven professional experience specifically in a safety-related role.
In-depth knowledge of local safety regulations and risk management practices.
Strong analytical thinking ability and attention to detail for hazard identification.
Excellent report writing and documentation skills for incident investigation and training logs.
Proven leadership and communication skills to effectively train and influence employees.
Ability to enforce safety standards strictly and consistently across all organizational levels.
Willingness and ability to travel outside the Dar es Salaam region for on-site management.
Proficiency in coordinating emergency preparedness and response plans.
