PROJECT OFFICER – YOUTH ENGAGEMENT @ WATOTO SALAMA FOUNDATION (WSF)
The Project Officer – Youth Engagement is tasked with mobilizing youth and coordinating community activities designed to empower young people. Key duties involve organizing impactful trainings, mentorship programs, and entrepreneurship initiatives to foster youth development. This role requires close collaboration with various youth groups, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and local authorities to achieve program objectives.
This is an internship/volunteer position with Watoto Salama Foundation (WSF), an NGO based in Kasulu, Kigoma. WSF works to protect children and empower youth through programs in education, child protection, gender equality, GBV prevention, livelihoods, nutrition, climate resilience, and community development. While no salary is guaranteed, a stipend may be provided depending on project funding.

Key Requirements
Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
Experience in youth programs and project implementation.
Good organizational skills for managing diverse activities.
Proficiency in reporting and documentation.
Commitment to child protection and community development principles.
Willingness to work in the Kigoma Region.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Fresh graduate or candidate with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Ability to mobilize and engage youth effectively.
Experience in organizing trainings and mentorship sessions.
