PROJECT OFFICER – LIVELIHOODS @ WATOTO SALAMA FOUNDATION (WSF)
The Project Officer – Livelihoods will play a key role in supporting livelihood and economic empowerment projects aimed at improving community well-being. Duties include conducting thorough community engagement activities and market assessments to identify needs and opportunities. This position also requires diligent monitoring of project progress, preparing comprehensive reports, and coordinating effectively with various stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
This is an internship/volunteer position with Watoto Salama Foundation (WSF), an NGO based in Kasulu, Kigoma. WSF works to protect children and empower youth through programs in education, child protection, gender equality, GBV prevention, livelihoods, nutrition, climate resilience, and community development. While no salary is guaranteed, a stipend may be provided depending on project funding.

Key Requirements
Degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Experience in livelihood, entrepreneurship, or community development projects is an advantage.
Commitment to child protection and community development.
Willingness to work in the Kigoma Region.
Good communication skills.
Proficiency in computer skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Fresh graduate or candidate with up to 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in conducting community engagement.
Ability to prepare and present reports.
