LOCAL CONTRACTOR/FUNDI @ WATER MISSION TANZANIA
Water Mission Tanzania is seeking a qualified local contractor or experienced fundi to undertake construction and installation works for the Nghahelezi–Ng’anje Solar-Powered Borehole Water Supply Project. This project aims to provide sustainable, safe water services to the villages of Nghahelezi and Ng’anje in the Chamwino District of Dodoma. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full execution of civil works, ranging from borehole chamber construction to the installation of advanced solar-powered systems and prepaid water meter infrastructure. Water Mission Tanzania will provide all necessary construction materials for the project, while the contractor is expected to oversee the technical implementation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of the water supply systems. This is an essential role in improving public health and community infrastructure in the region.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in similar water-supply and construction projects
Valid CRB registration documents
Demonstrated technical capacity to handle borehole and pipeline works
Ability to manage and oversee specialized construction equipment
Proof of financial stability and project management resources
Availability of qualified technical personnel for the project duration
Valid business licenses and legal registration certificates
Ability to comply with safety and quality standards for water installations
Proficiency in site preparation and civil structure construction
Strong understanding of solar-powered water system commissioning protocols
