ON SITE DOCTOR @ WANYOU TANZANIA MINING LIMITED
WANYOU MINING is seeking a dedicated On-site Doctor for its Graphite Processing Plant in Mkange. This crucial role involves serving as the primary medical responder for all on-site injuries, providing immediate first aid, and stabilizing patients for hospital evacuation when necessary. The doctor will be instrumental in maintaining the health and well-being of the workforce through various occupational health initiatives.
Responsibilities include conducting routine medical fitness tests, pre-employment screenings, and return-to-work evaluations. The On-site Doctor will also collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to assess workplace hazards, investigate injuries, and maintain accurate incident reports. Furthermore, the role encompasses managing the site dispensary, overseeing medication inventory, ensuring proper expiry tracking for first-aid kits, and providing general healthcare services such as diagnosing and treating acute or chronic illnesses among staff, with referrals for complex cases to local hospitals. Meticulous record-keeping of confidential medical files and occupational injuries in compliance with labor regulations is also a key aspect of this position.

Key Requirements
Degree in Medicine (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)
Valid local medical council registration
5+ years of clinical or occupational health experience
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Ability to serve as a first responder for on-site injuries and provide first aid
Experience in conducting routine medical fitness tests and pre-employment screenings
Knowledge of HSE compliance and incident reporting
Proficiency in managing site dispensaries and medication inventory
Capability to diagnose and treat acute or chronic illnesses
