ELECTRICIAN @ WANYOU TANZANIA MINING LIMITED
WANYOU MINING is looking for a skilled Electrician to join its team at the Mkange Graphite Processing Plant. This vital role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and heavy-duty machinery essential for the extraction, crushing, and processing operations at the site. The Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring a continuous and safe power supply for the entire graphite processing plant, including conveyors, pumps, and camp facilities, thereby minimizing equipment downtime and upholding stringent mine safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both fixed and mobile mining equipment, such as high voltage transformers, switchgears, and motor control centers. The Electrician will provide dedicated electrical support to various mill circuits and processing units to guarantee seamless production. This position also requires the execution of routine inspections and preventative maintenance, diagnosing electrical and instrumentation faults using various testing devices, and adhering strictly to site safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and pre-start risk assessments. The ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for system upgrades and new installations is also crucial.

Key Requirements
A diploma, vocational certificate, or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related trade
Proven experience as an industrial or mining electrician
Previous exposure to graphite processing plants or heavy mineral processing is a strong asset
Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
Physical fitness to work in demanding industrial environments
Ability to operate effectively within a team
Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining high voltage transformers, switchgears, and motor control centers
Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and pre-start risk assessments
Capability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
