GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT @ WANANCHI GROUP TANZANIA
Wananchi Group Tanzania is looking for a skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and ensuring that all general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
In addition to routine accounting tasks, the General Ledger Accountant will collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and assist during external audits. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of accounting principles. Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or ACCA certification.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax regulations.
Significant experience in general ledger accounting.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
Analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines for month-end and year-end closing.
Experience in financial reporting and audit coordination.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
