HEAD OF FINANCE OPERATIONS @ WANANCHI GROUP
The Head of Finance Operations will oversee the end-to-end finance operations function across Wananchi Group’s extensive multi-country footprint, specifically focused on operations in Kenya. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and driving efficiency in transaction processing. The position covers multiple business segments including Fiber, DTH, and B2B, requiring a deep understanding of diverse revenue streams and operational models.
In this capacity, you will drive the standardization and automation of finance processes across the group while ensuring full compliance with IFRS, local tax regulations, and internal policies. You will serve as a critical bridge between the Finance department and various business units, ensuring that operational activities are accurately reflected in financial outcomes and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. This role also involves strong working capital management and continuous improvement of financial systems.

Key Requirements
Full qualification in CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting body.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCOM), Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
Extensive experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably in the telecommunications or technology sector.
Proven track record of managing end-to-end finance operations across multi-country footprints.
In-depth knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Strong understanding of regional tax regulations and compliance requirements in East Africa.
Demonstrated experience in driving process standardization and automation within a finance function.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate operational data into actionable financial insights.
Strong leadership and people management skills to lead diverse teams across different regions.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills to bridge finance and business units.
