HEAD OF FINANCE OPERATIONS @ WANANCHI GROUP
This executive role involves leading the finance operations for Wananchi Group in Tanzania. The Head of Finance Operations is responsible for the integrity of financial controls and the efficiency of the transaction cycle within the country. You will oversee financial reporting for the Fiber, DTH, and B2B segments, ensuring that all regional activities are captured accurately and reported within group timelines.
The role involves a heavy focus on working capital management and the continuous improvement of financial workflows. You will lead efforts to standardize processes across the Tanzania branch, ensuring they meet both IFRS standards and local statutory requirements. As a bridge between operational teams and the finance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that business strategies are financially viable and well-monitored.

Key Requirements
Must be a certified professional accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Commerce.
At least 10 years of experience in finance, with several years in a leadership capacity.
Direct experience managing finance operations in the Tanzanian market.
Expert knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Proficiency in managing complex financial transactions and group reporting.
Proven ability to implement automated financial solutions.
Strong understanding of Tanzanian tax laws and regulatory framework.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a finance team.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-country, high-pressure environment.
