The Head of Finance Operations will lead the end-to-end finance operations across Wananchi Group’s multi-country footprint, with a specific focus on maintaining excellence in Uganda. The role ensures robust financial controls, accurate financial reporting, and efficient transaction processing across Fiber, DTH, and B2B segments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Ugandan operations align with global group standards and local regulatory requirements.
You will be tasked with driving automation and continuous improvement of finance processes to enhance operational efficiency. By ensuring full compliance with IFRS and tax regulations, you will safeguard the company's financial integrity. This position acts as a key strategic partner to business units, translating operational activities into financial results that support the company's growth objectives in the Ugandan market.

Key Requirements
Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
Significant senior-level experience in managing finance operations in a multi-national environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS and its application in the telecommunications industry.
Strong background in transaction processing and working capital management.
Experience in managing financial compliance and tax regulations in Uganda.
Ability to lead change management through process automation and standardization.
High level of proficiency in financial systems and ERP software.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with multi-country teams.
Strategic mindset with the ability to provide insights that drive business performance.
