DECLARATION OFFICER @ WAKAWAKA AFRICA
Wakawaka Africa is looking for a dedicated Declaration Officer to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation and submission of customs declarations for various types of cargo, including imports, exports, and transit goods. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all shipments comply with the legal frameworks and regulations set by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). Your daily tasks will include verifying essential shipping documents such as commercial invoices and packing lists, and utilizing the TANCIS system to streamline customs processes.

Key Requirements
Certificate, diploma or degree in Clearing and Forwarding Logistics and Transport.
Specialized training or certification in Customs and Tax Management.
Minimum of 1 year experience in customs declaration or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of customs procedures and international tariffs.
Proficiency in using customs systems, specifically TANCIS.
Ability to verify and process shipping documents like bills of lading and commercial invoices.
In-depth understanding of Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) regulations.
Excellent numerical skills for calculating customs duties and taxes.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of integrity.
Effective communication skills for liaising with regulatory authorities.
