CREDIT ANALYST / LOANS ANALYST @ VUMILIA AFRICA GROUP
Vumilia Africa Group is seeking a dedicated Credit Analyst / Loans Analyst to join their dynamic and growing team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing loan applications, evaluating customer affordability and creditworthiness, and analyzing lending risks to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role is essential for supporting sustainable loan book growth while maintaining acceptable collection and default levels within the organization.
The position involves conducting rigorous affordability assessments, verifying client employment and income documentation, and making informed recommendations for loan approvals or declines. Candidates will also contribute to improving lending processes and operational efficiency. The role requires a highly analytical individual capable of making critical decisions in a fast-paced lending environment, ensuring that all financial assessments align with the National Credit Regulator (NCR) standards and internal guidelines.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Credit Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Banking.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in microfinance or high-volume lending environments.
Sound knowledge of National Credit Regulator (NCR) regulations.
Strong understanding of lending, collections, and affordability assessments.
NCR-related training is considered highly advantageous.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on risk mitigation.
Exceptional attention to detail regarding documentation and data verification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
Proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced lending environment.
Proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality and integrity in financial processing.
