Vumela IT Services is seeking a motivated Junior Network Engineer (L1) to join their specialized Network team in Johannesburg. This role is offered on a fixed-term contract basis and presents an excellent opportunity for a professional with a solid networking foundation to advance their career. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in various capacities, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure across complex client environments.
Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving network faults, providing hands-on client support, and ensuring the reliability of ICT solutions. Key Requirements
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
CCNA or equivalent certification
Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
1–2 years’ networking experience
No criminal record
Willingness to undergo medical and security checks
Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching protocols
Ability to assist in the installation and configuration of network hardware
Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity issues
Strong communication skills for providing client support
