DESIGN ENGINEER – SHEET METAL FABRICATION @ VOLTECH GROUP
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specializing in Sheet Metal Fabrication to join a leading industrial firm in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality designs, technical drawings, and blueprints for sheet metal products, ensuring they meet structural and functional requirements. This role involves close collaboration with the manufacturing and production teams to streamline the fabrication process and ensure precision in the final products. The salary offered for this position is up to ₹1,10,000 INR per month. Candidates must be prepared to work 9.5 hours per day in a permanent role located in Uganda. Key Requirements
Possess a B.E or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
Have at least 2 to 5 years of professional experience specifically in sheet metal fabrication design.
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Possess a deep understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes including bending, punching, and welding.
Ability to create detailed and accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings for production.
Experience in preparing comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimations.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot design flaws and optimize material usage.
Must be willing to relocate to Uganda and work in an international industrial setting.
Ability to adhere to a work schedule of 9.5 hours per day and handle overtime as required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with the engineering department.
