PRINCIPAL AI ARCHITECT @ VIRIDIAN TECH INC
The Principal AI Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end AI systems, focusing on RAG and multi-agent architectures to drive innovation. In this role, you will build and deploy production-grade AI and LLM applications, developing high-performance APIs and AI services using Python and FastAPI. The candidate will be expected to optimize LLM performance regarding latency, cost, and hallucination reduction, leading hands-on implementation across the entire AI lifecycle.
As a technical leader, you will evaluate and adopt the latest AI tools and frameworks while establishing engineering standards for the team. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for delivery success. You will also oversee AI governance, monitoring, and compliance to ensure system integrity. This is a remote role requiring the candidate to be based in the United States and available to work during PST business hours.

Key Requirements
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in AI or software engineering.
Extensive experience with LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI frameworks.
Proficiency in LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex for AI application development.
Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
Strong experience in API development and distributed systems using FastAPI.
Direct experience with Vector Databases like FAISS or Pinecone.
Knowledge of hybrid retrieval systems and Knowledge Graphs.
Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines for production deployment.
Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning, NLP, and Deep Learning.
Experience establishing engineering standards and reusable software components.
Proven ability to provide technical leadership and conduct architecture reviews.
