SHIPPING SUPERVISOR @ VDAMAUTOMOTIVE
Vdamautomotive is seeking a dedicated Shipping Supervisor to oversee and optimize all aspects of our ocean freight export operations. This critical role involves managing container and truck coordination, ensuring timely transportation and efficient allocation of empty containers to prevent cargo shortages or demurrage. The supervisor will also be responsible for yard management, booking shipping space, and verifying associated costs, while fostering strong relationships with shipping lines to mitigate account risks. The gross monthly salary for this position ranges from 4,000,000 TZS to 5,000,000 TZS.
Further responsibilities include rigorous terminal release and customs clearance coordination to guarantee smooth and timely container loading. The Shipping Supervisor will meticulously monitor the full ocean freight cost chain, ensuring accurate documentation and fee files, with a commitment to maintaining zero errors in cost reporting and prompt archiving of records. This position demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of international shipping regulations and practices to ensure operational excellence and cost efficiency.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Transport and Logistic, Procurement, Tax management or a related field
Minimum 4 years and above of experience in ocean freight export operations
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and charts
Ability to independently process order data and create KPl reports
Capacity to conduct business reviews effectively
Strong data analysis skills to identify risk points in timeliness, cost, and expenses
Proven ability to propose effective optimization measures
Comprehensive understanding of ocean freight operations
Experience in timeliness control and cost verification
Demonstrated ability to maintain records free of abnormal costs or cargo damage
