MECHANICAL ENGINEER @ VAN MO
VAN MO is currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to handle mechanical systems and infrastructure at our project sites in Dar es Salaam. The role involves direct supervision of mechanical installations, the preparation of technical designs, and the development of accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ). We are looking for a professional who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and work directly on-site to ensure all mechanical components are integrated seamlessly into the broader construction project. As a Mechanical Engineer at VAN MO, you will be expected to demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency and the ability to work under pressure. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with civil engineers and architects to ensure mechanical systems are efficient and compliant with all regulatory requirements. This is a senior-level role requiring at least five years of construction experience, aimed at individuals who can drive results through effective design and robust site management.
Key Requirements
Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board.
5+ years of professional experience in the construction industry.
Expertise in mechanical design and BOQ preparation for HVAC and plumbing.
Strong skills in site supervision and installation management.
Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical simulation tools.
High level of resilience and a result-oriented mindset for field work.
Excellent team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards in mechanical construction.
