CIVIL ENGINEER @ VAN MO
VAN MO is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various construction sites, ensuring that all structural designs are executed with precision and that project timelines are strictly met. This role requires a hands-on approach, involving significant time on the ground to manage site supervision, prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and troubleshoot engineering challenges as they arise. To excel in this position, you must possess strong engineering expertise and the resilience required to thrive in the construction industry. You will collaborate closely with other engineering professionals and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure projects. The role demands a combination of technical mastery and leadership skills to effectively manage human resources and material logistics on-site, ensuring all work complies with professional registration board standards.
Key Requirements
Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering.
Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board.
At least 5 years of professional experience in construction projects.
Strong proficiency in site supervision and project management.
Advanced skills in structural design and BOQ preparation.
Ability to lead and manage on-site technical teams.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Strong problem-solving skills and resilience in high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.
