FTTH FIBER TECHNICIAN @ UTEL GLOBAL
Utel Global is looking for a skilled FTTH Fiber Technician to join our technical operations team in Manyara. This role is critical to ensuring our high-speed fiber networks are installed, maintained, and optimized to provide seamless connectivity for our customers. You will perform essential tasks including fiber splicing, cable installation, and hardware termination.
Beyond installation, you will be tasked with troubleshooting complex network issues, using diagnostic tools like OTDR testers, and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in the field to support the growing telecommunications infrastructure in the region.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT.
1-2 years of experience in fiber optic installation or networking.
Proficiency in fiber splicing and termination techniques.
Experience using OTDR testing equipment for network analysis.
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
Fundamental understanding of networking protocols.
Ability to work independently in field environments.
Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
Physical stamina and ability to handle outdoor installation work.
Capability to work under pressure to meet deployment deadlines.
